In January 2025, wildfires in the Greater Los Angeles area resulted in loss of lives, property and local infrastructure. Among the tens of thousands of structures destroyed or damaged were three Los Angeles Unified schools: Palisades Charter Elementary School, Marquez Charter Elementary School, and Palisades Charter High School. Canyon Charter Elementary School and Paul Revere Charter Middle School are located adjacent to the burn scar. Consequently, the District has taken proactive measures to ensure the health and safety of our school communities.
